From 1 July 2026, the Netherlands replaces the flat-rate Eurovignette with a new distance-based truck toll, charged per kilometre driven and calculated by vehicle weight and emission class. It applies to all trucks over 3,500 kg on Dutch roads.

Important: not configurable in Transsmart

Distance-based toll surcharges cannot be set up or automated in Transsmart. Because the cost depends on the exact route driven and real-time GPS data from the truck's on-board unit, it can't be calculated or applied as a surcharge within our platform.

Any toll-related costs for Dutch routes will need to be agreed and handled directly with your carrier, either as part of your existing rate agreement or as a separate charge on their invoice — it will not appear as a line item generated by us.
